The short version
DevFormat is a static website. Every tool runs in your browser. Nothing you paste into any tool is sent to a server, logged, or stored. Your data never leaves your device.
What the tools do
All processing happens client-side using JavaScript in your browser. When you paste JSON, SQL, a JWT, or any other input, it is parsed and formatted locally. There is no backend API, no database, and no analytics that receives your input.
What little data is collected
Page analytics (optional). If you have analytics enabled, standard page-view data (referrer, browser type, approximate region) is collected by the analytics provider. Your tool input is never included.
Local storage. Your dark-mode preference is stored in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.
Hosting logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, requested page, timestamp) for security and availability. These are not used to profile you.
What we do not do
No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for.
No cookies for tracking. No login sessions, no cross-site tracking.
No save or share. Unlike some JSON tools, we deliberately have no "save to public URL" or "share" feature. Anything you paste stays with you.
No third-party code on tool pages beyond the analytics tag described above.
Changes
If this policy changes in any way that affects how your data is handled, this page will be updated with a new date at the top.
